Streimer Thrills Local Portland Fans in Pirelli Drivers Cup during Rose Cup Weekend

The Pirelli Drivers Cup USA series returned to the Portland Rose Cup Race event as invited guests to be a featured race and were recognized for their very competitive but clean racing by all in attendance.

Rookie driver Steve Streimer drove his 2004 996 Cup Car to two podium class finishes during the double race weekend.  Qualifying 3rd in both races, he diced his way up to a pair of 2nd place finishes.  Making the performance of Streimer’s Porsche even more impressive is the extensive repairs by Lux Performance Group that were required after an unfortunate accident at Miller Motorsports Park a few weeks prior.  But Steve put that behind him and finished the weekend with his highest finishing result in his short but impressive career.
