Energy and Diversity Headline 2011 for Lux Performance Group

Aloha, OR - Dec 15, 2011 - 2011 proved that Lux Performance Group, LLC is becoming a major player in the world of motorsports and innovative technologies. The success of its on-track and behind-the-scenes development programs showed the Aloha, Ore.-organization's capabilities and has inspired higher expectations internally and externally for the Fred and Cindi Lux-owned operation.

It has been an extraordinarily busy and diverse year for Lux Performance. Project lists ranged from overseeing the Dodge Viper Cup Series "Guest / Celebrity Driver" Program in 10 races across five event weekends, to prototyping hybrid vehicle technologies for Green Lite Motors.

The most public face of Lux Performance Group is its race program. Since its inception, Lux Performance has been the Northwest region's go-to for chassis, roll bar and full race car builds. That continued in 2011 as did its second season as the official overseer of the two-car entry for celebrity and guest drivers in the Dodge Viper Cup. The team built, prepared, maintained, and ran all on-site operations - including driver coaching by Cindi - for two factory Dodge Viper ACR-Xs which saw ten guest drivers cycle through. Visits to Sebring International Raceway, New Jersey Motorsports Park, Virginia International Raceway, Texas World Speedway and Daytona International Speedway helped raise $15,000 for the charities of each driver as well as for Breast Cancer Awareness - the official Viper Cup charity.

Meanwhile, Lux Performance Group also spearheaded the trackside support and preparations for Porsche 996 GT3 entries in the Pirelli Cup Series as well as the in-house race efforts of Cindi Lux. Cindi raced to the highest-ever finish for a female driver in Portland's prestigious Rose Cup Race finishing third driving a Dodge Viper Competition Coupe. In addition, the company prepared its first-ever drag racing Viper Competition Coupe for Cindi to compete in an exhibition event against legend Shirley Muldowney at Denver's Mopar Mile High Nationals.

Off the front-pages but no less impressive, Lux Performance had one of its busiest years for non-motorsport projects. Long a "worst kept secret" for companies looking to fabricate prototype technologies, Green Lite Motors has Lux Performance building the prototype for its exciting new personal transport vehicle. Meanwhile, for the tenth year, PR-Tech has kept Fred and Lux Performance busy fabricating and assisting in the special prototyping of a solar FAA lighting and robotic installation for power line markers.

The list is ever growing, as are the visitors the Lux Performance headquarters. Included beyond the usual cadre of racers and performance car hounds was Oregon Senator Jeff Merkley and his staff, Dr. Chris Maples, the president of Oregon Institute of Technology and Tim Miller, president and CEO of Green Lite Motors Corporation.

Fred Lux, co-owner: "We shine when tasked with the tough projects from clients. I would say creativity is one of our strengths and this makes our fabrication different from other companies. Our motorsport side of the business continues to grow even during a difficult economy. It all builds on each other. What we learn on the racing-side helps us in the prototyping and the reverse is true too. The diversity also helps keep energy in the shop. It's a great thing to be a part of."
