Aloha, Oregon, July 21, 2021 | Lux Performance Group is back on track and back home at Portland International Raceway (PIR) after a season of limited competition. The homecoming will be a celebration to mark the tenth-anniversary of the partnership of the team, driver Cindi Lux (Aloha, Oregon) and locally-started and nationally-growing Black Rock Coffee Bar.
The 75-minute Trans Am West Coast Championship Presented by Pirelli feature event, July 24 – 25, is the only opportunity the 13-time road racing champion will have to race at her home track providing the perfect time to celebrate the ten-year partnership at a hometown event. Lux will carry the Black Rock philosophy to "Fuel Your Story" into the SGT class in the popular No. 5 Lux Performance Group Dodge Viper ACR-X "Coffee Machine".
In June, Lux scored a victory in her only 2021 start at The Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, Washington. During her 22-race Trans Am record, Lux has a 77 percent podium finish rate which includes five race wins and eight pole positions, all in America's V10 super car prepared by Lux Performance Group at their headquarters in Aloha, Oregon.
Founded in 2008, Black Rock Coffee Bar has nearly 83 locations throughout Oregon, Texas, Idaho, Washington, California, Colorado, Nevada and Arizona. Lux Performance Group and Cindi continue as Black Rock's ambassadors of the brand around North America helping to fulfill the company's core philosophy to "Fuel Your Story"; a campaign focused on connecting and benefiting everyone in the community with interaction and communication. Black Rock has helped "fuel" Lux's story, and Lux theirs, since 2011.
Fans will be able to join Lux and Black Rock Coffee Bar at the Portland-area track over the course of the weekend. The feature race, which is 51-laps or 75-minutes in length whichever comes first, will take the green flag at 11:30 a.m. PT on Sunday, July 25.

"Ten years has flown by! I'll never forget the day I was working in Black Rock Coffee Bar, our first store, and Cindi, who had become a regular customer, handed me a card and said: 'this is what I do for a living.' On that card was: professional race car driver. Since then, what has grown from a cup of coffee has been more than just a partnership, many race victories and new Black Rock stores in more states but a genuine friendship and mentorship. Getting to know Cindi further, her character, her drive, her passion for racing and people is incomparable. I'm forever grateful for the simple introduction over a cup of coffee. We will fuel many more stories for years to come through various avenues."

"95-percent of my racing takes me away from my hometown of Portland. It will be odd not rushing to the airport, jumping on an airplane, grabbing a rental car and heading to the track. However, being home will allow me to show so many friends and fans what our racing program is about. Giving back to the community through racing is becoming more and more significant which is why I am with the perfect partner in Black Rock Coffee Bar. Black Rock has been such a great inspiration for me and, through them, I am constantly learning the importance of creating a real relationship with our fans. That is what 'fueling your story' is all about. Since this is our only race in Portland this year, it's time to get fired up and have some fun both on and off the track. Of course, my fun comes from hauling ass in this V10-powered 'coffee machine'."
